Alain Delon
"Le Passage" is his first feature but he breathes cinema and carries it within him. Since he has come directly from animated films, his technical experience is impressive. René is a very gifted, hypersensitive guy who, even if he didn’t know anything about actors or the atmosphere on a set, instantly adapted to everything ; he was immediately at home. I had an exceptional relationship with him, despite the generation gap. And even if we don’t share the same language about life, nor the same cinematic language, I was determined to allow him to make his film as he had written and conceived it. Director, screenwriter and dialogue-writer, René Manzor is an all-rounder of film.
